WE DEVELOP, IMPROVE & PRODUCE VEGETABLE SEED.
Ferrari was developed by Bakker Brothers for the three sieve market. Ferrari is a glossy dark green podded variety. The plant habitat is a smaller bush with pods being set high in the bush. Since its introduction, Ferrari has become a mainstay variety for many processing and fresh market growers.
Gaudi has long oval-shaped fruit with a bright green calyx. Usually, the calyx is spineless, but under certain conditions, a few small spines can develop. The fruit is firm and is grown on a medium-tall, upright strong growing bush. The variety can be grown indoor and outdoor with good results. It will keep it’s dark black color until it gets to an over mature stage.
1879 XR (YW/ 79d) has great lodging tolerance and considerable ear size. This variety has Common Rust resistance (Rp-GI) and moderate resistance to NCLB. The eating quality of 1879 XR is great for the main season processing market.
Second Early Variety
M14 is a strong stemmed normal vine that will stay standing through green pea harvest. This variety also makes for a picturesque field with so many bright green pods hanging on that classic Dick Lowe style dark blue vine.
Compact, sturdy and high yields make this variety a great choice for processing. Astro is a high-performance variety, especially in cooler climates. Great early-to-main season processing variety.
Late Season Variety
PLS 183 is another late season afila introduced by Pure Line Seeds. It is an excellent choice for growers in search of remarkable yields. This pea has a very intense color and is superbly uniform, making it a phenomenal product.
Second Early Variety
Prevail is a second early afila developed by Pure Line Seeds. The strong, upright afila vine type and determinate growth habit contribute to consistent yields. Prevail is resistant to Fusarium Wilt race 1.
F26 was originally disregarded by its former breeder, but we praise it for the impressive pods- which grow up to 11 inches and competes with our best tasting beans!
Indeterminate. Large round uniform tomatoes. Great for processing and canning. Early maturing. Gram size 200-300
Spring has been the benchmark early variety in the industry for many years. It matures in 55 days with a large berry size.
Don’t be fooled by this smaller berried pea- yields will astound you! This variety has consistently been a top yielding variety across the country since its release. The ever-increasing importance of 167’s strong field tolerance to downy mildew keeps this variety in high demand. Harvest early for an even smaller berry.
