Snow Pea Variety
Avalanche is a rare afila-type Snow Pea developed by Dick Lowe. The semi-leafless afila vine type has excellent stand-ability even after it sets loads of double 5.25” (13.5cm) pods. Exceptional yields with a beautiful dark color make Avalanche a wonderful market competitor.
Gaudi has long oval-shaped fruit with a bright green calyx. Usually, the calyx is spineless, but under certain conditions, a few small spines can develop. The fruit is firm and is grown on a medium-tall, upright strong growing bush. The variety can be grown indoor and outdoor with good results. It will keep it’s dark black color until it gets to an over mature stage.
This exciting new broccoli hybrid parades itself with its showy medium to large, blue-green leaves and deep-purple sprouts. The mildly sweet flavor is a result of its cross between a broccoli and cauliflower. Jacaranda is an early maturing variety that produces large round heads with uniform maturity and a long shelf life.
The long pointed pods of PLS 560 fill to the tip with 10-12 dark green berries of excellent flavor. These nice, light green pods really stand out against the dark blue-green foliage. A strong-stemmed variety – it holds upright throughout the season, making harvest quick and very rewarding.
Named after the sabre sword for its uncanny resemblance, Sabre’s introduction has been a favorite of many fresh market growers worldwide.
Second Early Variety
Prevail is a second early afila developed by Pure Line Seeds. The strong, upright afila vine type and determinate growth habit contribute to consistent yields. Prevail is resistant to Fusarium Wilt race 1.
Max’s Gold is a top choice for the Pure Line team for its exceptional savory flavor and consistent, beautiful golden-yellow color. Great for frying or baking.
1470 XR (YW/ 69d) is an early yellow hybrid that has proven strong yields and recovery for the cut kernel processing market. Good tip fill and ear shape also make 1470 XR an excellent choice for the early fresh market.
Pure Line Seeds is ecstatic to introduce PLS 566. Recent trials of PLS 566 have shown this pea’s capability to return tremendous yields. These long light green pods really stand out against the strong, dark blue-green afila vine. With two pods per node and 10-12 berries per pod. You’ll be very pleased with this sweet pea!
PLS 2088 has strong yields of uniform and flavorful fruit. The rind is thin for easy slicing- not to mention that it is seedless, yet just as flavorful as a seeded watermelon.
F55 has been released by Pure Line Seeds in 2013. It is a whole bean for the processing market. This bean has done exceptionally well in a number of trials and semi-commercial trials across the country.
