Redbarn dark red kidney bean was released in 2023 by the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station. Redbarn has shown competitive agronomic performance, including significantly higher yield, compared to other varieties commonly grown in North Dakota. ND Redbarn matures in approximately 99 days and has larger seed size and improved kidney shape. Canning quality and seed shape and size are within acceptable commercial ranges.
